Refund policy

Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy – Khetika

Khetika deals in packaged food products that are perishable and consumable in nature. Accordingly, we follow a restricted return and refund policy to ensure food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.


1. Eligibility for Returns

Returns are accepted only in the following circumstances:

  • Product received is damaged, leaked, or tampered

  • Product is expired at the time of delivery

  • Product is defective or unfit for consumption

  • Product received is materially different from what was ordered

Returns will not be accepted for reasons including but not limited to:

  • Taste preference or personal dislike

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect product ordered by the customer

  • Minor packaging dents without product damage

  • Partial consumption of product


2. Return Request Process

  • Return requests must be raised within 3 (three) days of receipt of the product

  • Customers must email customercare@khetika.com with:

    • Order ID

    • Product name

    • Clear images/videos showing the issue

    • Visible batch number and original packaging

Products must be unused, unopened, and in original condition unless the return is due to visible damage or leakage.

Requests submitted after the prescribed timeline or without adequate evidence may not be accepted.


3. Inspection & Approval

All return requests are subject to verification and inspection. Khetika will notify customers regarding approval or rejection after review.

We reserve the right to decline returns that do not meet food safety, hygiene, or policy requirements, in accordance with applicable consumer laws.

 

4. Refunds

  • Prepaid orders:
    Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5 -7 working days.

  • Cash on Delivery (COD) orders:
    Refunds will be processed via bank transfer upon receipt of valid bank account details.

  • Shipping charges:
    Non-refundable unless the return is due to an error solely attributable to Khetika.

Refund timelines may vary depending on the customer’s bank or payment provider.

 

5. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items are non-returnable unless damaged or defective upon delivery:

  • Opened or consumed food products;

  • Products without original packaging; or

  • Products returned without batch/expiry details.

6. Order Cancellation by Customer

  • Orders may be cancelled only before dispatch from Khetika’s warehouse.

  • Cancellation requests must be sent to customercare@khetika.com with the order ID.

  • Requests received after dispatch will not be accepted.

Customers are advised not to refuse delivery after dispatch. Refusal without prior approval may result in recovery of shipping, handling, and return-to-origin charges.


7. Refunds for Cancelled Orders

  • Prepaid orders:
    Refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days to the original payment method.

  • COD orders:
    No refund applicable as payment is collected upon delivery.


8. Cancellation by Khetika

Khetika reserves the right to cancel an order in situations including but not limited to:

  • Product unavailability

  • Pricing or listing errors

  • Logistical constraints

  • Suspected fraudulent or unauthorized transactions

In such cases, any prepaid amount shall be refunded in full as per applicable timelines.


9. Limitation of Liability

Khetika shall not be liable for any indirect losses, inconvenience, or damages arising from order cancellation or return decisions made in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
